"The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall want." - Psalms 23:1

"For the Lord himself shall come down from
heaven with commandment, and with the voice of an archangel, and
with the trumpet of God: and the dead who are in Christ, shall
rise first."
- 1 Thessalonians 4:15

The Six Pillars of the
Charism of St. Michael are:
Protection , Respect, Dedication, Courage,
Integrity, Justice
Genesis, 3
1. Now, the snake was the most
subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made.
It asked the woman, 'Did God really say you were not to
eat from any of the trees in the garden?' 2. The woman
answered the snake, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees
in the garden. 3. But of the fruit of the tree in the
middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor
touch it, under pain of death." ' 4. Then the snake said
to the woman, 'No! You will not die! 5. God knows in
fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened
and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.' 6.
The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing
to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that
it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it.
She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and
he ate it. 7. Then the eyes of both of them were opened
and they realised that they were naked. So they sewed
fig-leaves together to make themselves loin-cloths. 8.
The man and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh God
walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they
hid from Yahweh God among the trees of the garden. 9.
But Yahweh God called to the man. 'Where are you?' he
asked. 10. 'I heard the sound of you in the garden,' he
replied. 'I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.'
11. 'Who told you that you were naked?' he asked. 'Have
you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?' 12.
The man replied, 'It was the woman you put with me; she
gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.' 13.
Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do
that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I
ate.' 14. Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because
you have done this, Accursed be you of all animals wild
and tame! On your belly you will go and on dust you will
feed as long as you live. 15. I shall put enmity
between you and the woman, and between your offspring
and hers; it will bruise your head and you will strike
its heel.' 16. To the woman he said: I shall give you
intense pain in childbearing, you will give birth to
your children in pain. Your yearning will be for your
husband, and he will dominate you. 17. To the man he
said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife
and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to
eat, Accursed be the soil because of you! Painfully will
you get your food from it as long as you live. 18. It
will yield you brambles and thistles, as you eat the
produce of the land. 19. By the sweat of your face will
you earn your food, until you return to the ground, as
you were taken from it. For dust you are and to dust you
shall return.' 20. The man named his wife 'Eve' because
she was the mother of all those who live. 21. Yahweh God
made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and
clothed them. 22. Then Yahweh God said, 'Now that the
man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil,
he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick
from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!'
23. So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden,
to till the soil from which he had been taken. 24. He
banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he
posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing
sword, to guard the way to the tree of life."
Revelation 12
"1. Now a great sign appeared in
heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the
moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2. She
was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs
of childbirth. 3. Then a second sign appeared in the
sky: there was a huge red dragon with seven heads and
ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a
coronet. 4. Its tail swept a third of the stars from the
sky and hurled them to the ground, and the dragon
stopped in front of the woman as she was at the point of
giving birth, so that it could eat the child as soon as
it was born. 5. The woman was delivered of a boy, the
son who was to rule all the nations with an iron
sceptre, and the child was taken straight up to God and
to his throne, 6. while the woman escaped into the
desert, where God had prepared a place for her to be
looked after for twelve hundred and sixty days. 7.
And now war broke out in heaven, when Michael with his
angels attacked the dragon. The dragon fought back with
his angels, 8. but they were defeated and driven out of
heaven. 9. The great dragon, the primeval serpent, known
as the devil or Satan, who had led all the world astray,
was hurled down to the earth and his angels were hurled
down with him. 10. Then I heard a voice shout from
heaven, 'Salvation and power and empire for ever have
been won by our God, and all authority for his Christ,
now that the accuser, who accused our brothers day and
night before our God, has been brought down. 11. They
have triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word to which they bore witness, because even in the
face of death they did not cling to life. 12. So let the
heavens rejoice and all who live there; but for you,
earth and sea, disaster is coming -- because the devil
has gone down to you in a rage, knowing that he has
little time left.' 13. As soon as the dragon found
himself hurled down to the earth, he sprang in pursuit
of the woman, the mother of the male child, 14. but she
was given a pair of the great eagle's wings to fly away
from the serpent into the desert, to the place where she
was to be looked after for a time, two times and half a
time. 15. So the serpent vomited water from his mouth,
like a river, after the woman, to sweep her away in the
current, 16. but the earth came to her rescue; it opened
its mouth and swallowed the river spewed from the
dragon's mouth. 17. Then the dragon was enraged with the
woman and went away to make war on the rest of her
children, who obey God's commandments and have in
themselves the witness of Jesus. 18. And I took my
stand on the seashore."

St Michael the
Archangel Prayer In Latin Short Version
Sáncte Míchael Archángele, defénde nos in
proélio, cóntra nequítiam et insídias diáboli ésto præsídium.
Ímperet ílli Déus, súpplices deprecámur: tuque, prínceps milítiæ
cæléstis, Sátanam aliósque spíritus malígnos, qui ad perditiónem
animárum pervagántur in múndo, divína virtúte, in inférnum
detrúde. Ámen.
Saint Michael the
Archangel Prayer in English Short Version
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in
battle. Be our protection against the malice and snares of the
devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince
of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell
Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the
ruin of souls. Amen.
Saint Michael the
Archangel Prayer in English Original Version
O Glorious Prince of the
heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the
battle and in the terrible warfare that we are waging against
the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world
of darkness, against the evil spirits. Come to the aid of man,
whom Almighty God created immortal, made in His own image and
likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of
Satan.
Fight this day the battle
of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast
fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate
host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for
them any longer in Heaven. That cruel, ancient serpent, who is
called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast
into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and
slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of
light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked
spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God
and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal
perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This
wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of
his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit
of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of
impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.
These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall
and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb,
and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In
the Holy Place itself, where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair
of Truth has been set up as the light of the world, they have
raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the
iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the
sheep may be scattered.
Arise then, O invincible
Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to
the people of God, and give them the victory. They venerate thee
as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as
her defense against the malicious power of hell; to thee has God
entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly
beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan
under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able
to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers
in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly find
mercy in the sight of the Lord; and vanquishing the dragon, the
ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make
him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the
nations. Amen.
V. Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile
powers. R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered, the root of
David. V. Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord. R. As we have hoped in Thee.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer. R. And let my cry come unto Thee.
Let us pray.
O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy
holy Name, and as supplicants, we implore Thy clemency, that by
the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin Immaculate and our Mother,
and of the glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Thou wouldst
deign to help us against Satan and all the other unclean spirits
who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and
the ruin of souls. Amen. (Roman Raccolta, July 23, 1898,
supplement approved July 31, 1902, London: Burnes, Oates &
Washbourne Ltd., 1935, 12th edition.)
The Angelic Crown or Chaplet (The Chaplet of
St. Michael the Archangel)
The history of this
Chaplet goes back to a devout Servant of
God, Antonia d'Astonac, who had a vision of
St. Michael. He told Antonia to honor him by
nine salutations to the nine Choirs of
Angels. St. Michael promised that whoever
would practice this devotion in his honor
would have, when approaching Holy Communion,
an escort of nine angels chosen from each of
the nine Choirs. In addition, for those who
would recite the Chaplet daily, he promised
his continual assistance and that of all the
holy angels during life, and after death
deliverance from purgatory for themselves
and their relations.
O God, come to my
assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
[Say one Our Father
and three Hail Marys after each of the
following nine salutations in honor of the
nine Choirs of Angels]
1. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Seraphim may the Lord make us worthy to burn
with the fire of perfect charity. Amen.
2. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Cherubim may the Lord grant us the grace to
leave the ways of sin and run in the paths
of Christian perfection. Amen.
3. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Thrones may the Lord infuse into our hearts
a true and sincere spirit of humility. Amen.
4. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Dominations may the Lord give us grace to
govern our senses and overcome any unruly
passions. Amen.
5. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Virtues may the Lord preserve us from evil
and falling into temptation. Amen.
6. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Powers may the Lord protect our souls
against the snares and temptations of the
devil. Amen.
7. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Principalities may God fill our souls with a
true spirit of obedience. Amen.
8. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Archangels may the Lord give us perseverance
in faith and in all good works in order that
we may attain the glory of Heaven. Amen.
9. By the intercession
of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of
Angels may the Lord grant us to be protected
by them in this mortal life and conducted in
the life to come to Heaven. Amen.
Say one Our Father in
honor of each of the following leading
Angels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St.
Raphael and our Guardian Angel.
Concluding
prayers:
O glorious prince St.
Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly
hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of
rebel spirits, servant in the house of the
Divine King and our admirable conductor, you
who shine with excellence and superhuman
virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to
you with confidence and enable us by your
gracious protection to serve God more and
more faithfully every day.
Pray for us, O
glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church
of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy
of His promises.
Almighty and
Everlasting God, Who, by a prodigy of
goodness and a merciful desire for the
salvation of all men, has appointed the most
glorious Archangel St. Michael Prince of
Your Church, make us worthy, we ask You, to
be delivered from all our enemies, that none
of them may harass us at the hour of death,
but that we may be conducted by him into
Your Presence. This we ask through the
merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
